Orbit Defense ("the game") is made by The Beer Doctor, an independent developer based in Greece ("I", "me"). This policy explains what data the game uses, why, and the choices you have. Questions? Email thebeerdoctorgames@gmail.com.
The game saves your progress (coins, upgrades, levels, stars, skins, settings, statistics such as enemies destroyed) in a file on your device. It is removed when you uninstall the game.
If you sign in with Google Play Games, Google provides the game with your Play Games profile (player name and avatar) and stores, in your Google account:
This data is processed by Google under the Google Privacy Policy. You can delete your Play Games data for this game in the Google Play Games app or your Google account settings.
In-app purchases are processed by Google Play. The game receives a confirmation of the purchase (product, order and purchase token) so it can deliver the item and restore it later. I do not receive your name, address or payment information.
Players without Premium can choose to watch rewarded video ads (for example to revive or double their coins). Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which may collect and process:
Google uses this to show ads, measure them, prevent fraud and, if you agree, personalise ads. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Your choices: in the EEA, UK and Switzerland you will see Google's consent form before any ad is loaded, and you can change your choice in Settings → Ad Privacy. Everywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads). Buying Premium removes ads completely.
The game uses Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data: which screens and levels are played, run results, purchases and ads watched (never payment details), plus your device model, Android version, app version, an approximate country and a random app-instance ID. It never includes your name, email or contacts, and the game switches off Firebase's collection of the advertising ID. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland this only starts if you tap "Allow" when the game asks; everywhere else it is on by default. You can switch it off or on at any time in the game under Settings → Usage Data. Google processes this data under the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase keeps it for up to 14 months.
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Saving and restoring your progress, delivering purchases | Performance of our agreement with you (providing the game) |
| Anonymous usage data (Firebase Analytics) | Your consent in the EEA/UK/Switzerland; legitimate interests (improving the game) elsewhere, with an opt-out in Settings |
| Personalised ads | Your consent (you can withdraw it any time) |
| Non-personalised ads, fraud prevention, security | Legitimate interests (funding a free game, keeping it secure) |
I do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with the service providers named above (Google Play, Google Play Games, Google AdMob, Google Firebase), which may process it outside your country, including in the United States, under their own safeguards.
You can delete your data at any time:
How long data is kept: device data until you delete it or uninstall the game; Play Games data until you delete it in your Google account or Play Games settings; ad data according to Google's retention policies.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Contact me at thebeerdoctorgames@gmail.com to exercise these rights.
The game is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact me and it will be deleted.
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date. Significant changes will also be announced in the game.
